Will You #InfiltrateWithLove?

On June 1, 2018, an Indianapolis CrossFit gym cancelled a PRIDE event citing “the directors and owners of [the gym] value health and wellness and they believe that this [pride] event does not.”Immediately, OUTWOD and The OUT Foundation were in contact with employees of CrossFit Infiltrate to provide support and advocacy for their community who had hoped to celebrate pride and inclusivity. In response to anti-LGBTQ statements from high-level CrossFit employee, OUTWOD and The OUT Foundation used our platform to directly advocate and agitate for CrossFit, Inc. to take a stand and publicly support LGBTQ+ CrossFitters everywhere.Within days, CrossFit, Inc. quoted Founder, Greg Glassman, on Twitter as saying “I am crazy proud of the gay community in CrossFit,” and CrossFit, Inc. released a statement fully supporting the LGBTQ+ community stating “CrossFit is a diverse community in every way and that’s what makes us strong. No matter who you are, how you’re built, what you believe, or who or how you love–we are proud of you.”Now, every year on the final weekend of Pride Month, gyms across the globe participate in #InfiltrateWithLove, a workout celebrating inclusivity and support of the LGBTQ+ community and those marginalized because of how and who they love.Part of The OUT Foundation's mission is to advocate for inclusion - not just mere tolerance - within the fitness community and this includes the CrossFit affiliations of gyms. We are proud to stand in solidarity with CrossFit, Inc. and their support of our community. Our goal is to get as many affiliates as possible to throw an #InfiltratewithLove workout on June 30th to sweat with their community to the “STONEWALL” workout, dedicated to the uprising at the Stonewall Inn on June 28, 1969 that served as a catalyst for the gay rights movement in the United States.Gyms can learn more and register to participate at www.iamout.org/infiltrate
