Gender Affirming Surgery Applications Open Through December 31st

In 2019, The OUT Foundation will fund a minimum of six gender affirming surgeries while also maintaining a dedicated fund for ancillary services for transgender patients. This will be accomplished through a partnership with The Hansjörg Wyss Department of Plastic Surgery at NYU Langone Health.

Individuals who wish to be considered to receive funding are encouraged to apply at https://www.theoutfoundation.org/outhealth/. Applications are being accepted now through December 31, 2018.

“We are so proud of our relationship with NYU Langone Health and the support from our donors that enables us to fund these surgeries,” said Will Lanier, Executive Director of The OUT Foundation.  “Through this partnership, we will be able to advance the care of the transgender community and provide much needed services and support to those in need.”

In addition to funding surgeries, The OUT Foundations works with underprivileged patients to navigate New York State Medicaid requirements and develop post-op care including complimentary dedicated fitness classes for newly transitioned patients, support groups, make-up tutorials, career workshops, and more.
