The OUT Foundation Welcomes New Board Member
Janine Hunter joins Board of Directors.The OUT Foundation’s Board of Directors is responsible for the health and effectiveness of the organization. The Board ensures that the organization achieves its mission in an ethical, transparent, accountable, and prudent manner. Additionally, the Board provides financial support through individual giving and strategic partnerships. The Board of Directors is made up of people of diverse backgrounds, experiences, and unique talents that further the advancement of our programs.Meet Janine…Janine Hunter (she/her)34 years oldJersey City, NJQ: What do you do and where do you live?A: I am Head Coach at JCFit, Wife to the love of my life, and Mother of two pups in Jersey City, NJ.Q: What is your biggest passion/hobby?A: As a dedicated fitness trainer, I am passionate about my own fitness as well as empowering and motivating humans to live their best life being fiercely fit.Q: How did you first hear about The OUT Foundation?A: I first heard about the work of The OUT Foundation at the gym. JCFit is a strong inclusive community that has and continues to support The OUT Foundation and its initiatives. Not to mention, our former Client Services/Community Manager is on the OUT Foundation team ;-)"Q: When and why did you join the Board? A: I am new to the stage. My commitment as a Board Member is to use this platform to empower expression, inspire change through education and create access to the valuable resources needed to foster the health, wellness and safety of our BIPOC and LGBTQ+ community.Q: What are your hopes/goals for The OUT Foundation? A: To continue to provide a safe space for discussions and a network of support for the health and wellbeing of our community.Q: What is one fun fact/something you wish people knew about you? A: When I get my nails done, I get my thumb nails cut down a little lower than the others so that I can hook-grip.
