Sweating for a Cause While Protecting Yourself from the Coronavirus

We know there’s a lot of anxiety out there about the coronavirus, and with OUTWODs coming up all across the country in the next days, weeks, and months, we hope you’ll still join us.

~~ UNLESS YOU’RE SICK! OMG STAY HOME IF YOU’RE SICK ~~

But seriously. If you’re experiencing any symptoms, please be smart and sit this one out.

For those of you still wanting to get your sweat on, yay! We can’t wait for you to join us.

When you’re at the gym (or anywhere), the best way to avoid coronavirus is the simple and effective message we’ve been hearing everywhere: Wash your hands—and keep washing them. Before you go to the gym, halfway through the WOD, when you leave—make sure to scrub with soap and water, especially if you’re going to touch food afterward or you know you touch your face often.

Oh, and we know you love to encourage each other, but let’s skip high-fiving during the workout and throw people a thumbs up or a “YASS KWEEN” instead.

Our host gyms are already taking extra precautions of cleaning their spaces and equipment, and to make sure to have cleaning supplies on-hand for participants to use.

But the responsibility of sanitizing equipment isn't only on gym staff—do your part and make sure to wipe down your own equipment before and after every use.

In the event that an OUTWOD is postponed due to Coronavirus concerns, it will be rescheduled and your registration will be transferred. Refunds will not be issued.

We hope to see you soon at an OUTWOD near you!

xoxo,

Your OUTWOD Family
