Episode 19.17, The Substance Abuse Episode

This week’s episode was a really personal project for us. We’re talking about our experiences with substances and how those experiences have shaped us. We talk about how we deal with having “addicting personalities,” drinking to be comfortable, and how some use drugs to get that “beach bod.” We cover the sick pride of drug culture and why it’s prevalent in the LGBTQ community. Will and Alex share their “wake up call” moments, and Will shares what it’s like to come from a home of addiction. We hope that this episode will either shed some light on the complicated issue of substance abuse, or offer you some comfort if you’re someone who’s currently struggling with it.OBSESSED: A 90-Second Tour of Kim Catrall's Home" - https://youtu.be/kg-QbPJnfrsLINKS:Is the LGBTQ community more prone to addiction?https://www.addictioncenter.com/addiction/lgbtq/If you think you have a drinking problem, take this quizhttps://www.aa.org/pages/en_US/is-aa-for-you-twelve-questions-only-you-can-answerIf you’re struggling with substance abusehttps://www.samhsa.gov/LGBTQ Addiction Resourceshttps://drughelpline.org/lgbtqFollow us on Instagram: @outcast_podcast
