The OUTAthletics Inclusion Movement program is designed specifically for anyone that seeks to create a welcoming and inclusive fitness environment for the LGBTQ+ community.

OUTAIM guides to incorporate inclusive policies, practices and procedures, coaching skills to uplift, embolden, and affirm their LGBTQ+ clients’ and members’ physical, mental, and emotional health and well-being.

INCLUSION MOVEMENT

The OUTAIM PROCESS
The OUTAIM Program is a four pronged approach to build, and develop key points of inclusion.
Your Facility's Inclusion Efforts Begin With You
ASSESSMENT
The survey assesses gyms/fitness environments on an inclusion scale that ranks the inclusivity of LGBTQ+ staff, members, participants, and volunteers.
EDIT
EDIT incorporates inclusive coaching skills to uplift, embolden, and affirm their LGBTQ+ clients’ and members’ physical, mental, and emotional health and wellbeing. We curate each workshop to specifically meet each gym/fitness environment where their health and wellness is; ensuring progress is our commitment to you.
COLLATERAL
Ensuring visibility is critical. OUTAIM provides generated collateral and marketing tools in which to support the administrative efforts of local gyms.
MENTORSHIP & GUIDANCE
We are on the marathon, together, this is not a sprint. OUTAIM will provide quarterly check ins, on the spot guidance, and various key tools shared throughout the year that is developed from our experienced and credentialed staff.
ANNUAL AUDIT
At the end of each year, we will audit gyms in discussions, review of gym space, member and client survey to ensure each gym is maintaining their OUTAIM level of accreditation.

OUTAIM PROVIDES LEVEL SPECIFIC DEI TRAINING

WHAT YOU GET

EDIT is a comprehensive two-hour education-based seminar designed specifically for professionals in the fitness, health, and wellness industry. This seminar aims to equip participants with the knowledge and tools to create welcoming, nurturing, and inclusive fitness spaces for the LGBTQ+ community. With a focus on understanding the unique needs and challenges faced by LGBTQ+ individuals, EDIT provides valuable insights and practical strategies to foster an inclusive environment in fitness facilities.

During this 1.5-hour training, participants will explore the concepts of unconscious bias, its impact on decision-making processes, and how it can unintentionally perpetuate disparities and inequalities within health, fitness, and wellness spaces. Through a combination of exercises, discussions, and impact stories, participants will develop a deeper understanding of their own biases and learn practical strategies to mitigate their influence.

Our Cultural Competency program is designed to enhance the transparency between language, values, beliefs, and cultural differences as it intersects with the LGBTQ+ community. This program aims to create an inclusive and supportive environment that fosters the well-being of all individuals regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, and/or gender expression. All with the aim to increase a comprehensive understanding of the LGBTQ+ community’s diverse identities and experiences.

During our 1.5-2 hour interactive course, we will unravel the multifaceted aspects of diversity and challenges that individuals face within all marginalized communities. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of intersectionality and its significance in shaping experiences within social, cultural, and professional settings from data-driven facts.

This 45 program provides an entry-level overview of the Transgender community, including an understanding of gender identity and expression. We present up-to-date research on trans inclusion in sports, highlighting the positive and negative impact of hormone therapy on athletic performance. We also address the overwhelming growth in anti-trans legislation being proposed in various United States governments.

Our 45-minute session on HIV/AIDs in the LGBTQ+ community covers a multitude of topics to debunk long-standing myths surrounding the auto-immune disease that has permeated through US society since its epidemic status in 1980 to current.
